Our Alumni - Work For Us
Claim back your travel expenses.
Congratulations on being made an offer to study with us here at Northumbria.
We understand that choosing which university you want to go to is an important decision, and of course we hope you will choose us!
Before deciding, you want to get a feel for the campus and city as well as talk to current students, academics and support staff, and there is no better way to do this than by coming along to one of our Northumbria University (NU) Experience Days.
Learn more about your course alongside other future classmates, visit some of our accommodation, tour the campus and other facilities, as well as talking to current students about why it is so great to study at Northumbria and live in Newcastle.
We understand that traveling to events can be expensive, so we want to make sure you have every opportunity to visit one of our Experience Days by offering a contribution towards your travel costs.
If you're travelling to either our Newcastle City campus (NE1 8ST) or Coach Lane Campus (NE7 7TR), you can claim:
- Travelling from up to 40 miles radius: £10 reimbursement
- Travelling from 40 miles radius or more: £40 reimbursement
To claim your support for travel expenses, please complete this form with the relevant information.
Please note: you should only submit your claim after you have attended the event, and you must upload evidence of your travel booking if you have travelled by public transport (ticket or receipt). Claims must be received within 14 days of the event you attended.
What happens next?
Once you've submitted your claim form, we'll review your application. If your claim is approved, you'll receive an email from PayMe at the email address you provided in the 'Email Address of Payee' field. Please allow 21 days to process your claim and receive the PayMe link
This email will contain a secure Lloyds Bank PayMe link. Simply click the link and confirm your bank account details. Your travel reimbursement will then be paid into your account within 24 hours of completing this step.
Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for the PayMe email so you can complete the process and receive your payment promptly.
For any additional queries about the NU Experience Days or support for travel expenses, please contact us at ug.events@northumbria.ac.uk.
