Open Day Travel Reimbursement

See what makes Northumbria special, with help towards your travel costs.

Choosing the right university is a big decision, and we hope you'll choose us! Before you decide, you'll want to experience the campus and city for yourself, chat with current students, academics and support staff – and there's no better way to do this than attending one of our Open Days.

We know that getting to open days can be costly. We're committed to ensuring that all prospective students have the opportunity to visit and experience what we have to offer, helping you make a fully informed decision about your future.

If you're travelling to either our Newcastle City campus (NE1 8ST) or Coach Lane Campus (NE7 7TR), you can claim:

  • Travelling from up to 40 miles radius: £10 reimbursement

  • Travelling from 40 miles radius or more: £40 reimbursement

To claim your travel reimbursement, please complete this form with the relevant information.

Please note: you should only submit your claim after you have attended the Open Day, and you must upload evidence of your travel booking if you have travelled by public transport (ticket or receipt). Claims must be received within 14 days of the Open Day you attended.

What happens next?

Once you've submitted your claim form, we'll review your application. If your claim is approved, you'll receive an email from PayMe at the email address you provided in the 'Email Address of Payee' field.

This email will contain a secure Lloyds Bank PayMe link. Simply click the link and confirm your bank account details. Your travel reimbursement will then be paid into your account within 24 hours of completing this step.

Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for the PayMe email so you can complete the process and receive your payment promptly.
