Greenfield Foundation - Kenya

Have a transformative experience volunteering in Kenya! Choose from a selection of programmes to help disadvantage communities in Africa.

Application deadline:

Monday 12th January at midday.

 

When: 

May, June, July or August for 28 days*
*Programme must be completed by 31st August

 

Programme dates: 

Flexible start dates but programme must be completed by August 31st.

Students can choose a 2, 3 or 4 week programme.

 

Funding available: 

There are three grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria: 

  • Living cost grant: £588 for a 4 week programme (£441 for 3 weeks, £294 for 2 weeks)
  • Travel grant: up to £745 
  • Additional costs: up to £40 this supports payment towards buying/renewing a passport, travel insurance and vaccinations  

For those who do not meet any of the criteria there is a grant of £476 available for a 4 week programme (£238 for 2 weeks, £357 for 3 weeks).

Students who are not accepted for funding can still participate in the programme and be covered by the university's insurance

 

Programme fee: 

2 weeks -  £780

3 weeks -  £990

4 weeks - £1200

Fees include a £50 deposit.

  • Airport pick up and drop off
