Accreditation and Recognition

It is important that our Geography and Environmental Sciences courses meet the requirements of industry as represented by the various professional bodies. Accredited and recognised programmes meet the underpinning knowledge and understanding requirements for registration set out by a professional body. This is achieved through the assessment of the programmes against defined and accepted standard criteria. The University is periodically visited by representatives of these professional bodies to ensure that the programmes adhere to their criteria.
