Psychology’s Athena SWAN Bronze Award

Northumbria University has held an Athena SWAN Bronze award since 2015, with a successful renewal application in December 2019 allowing the institution to retain the Bronze award for a further 3 years. In November 2019, the Geography and Environmental Sciences & Business and Law departments also submitted successful applications to obtain a Bronze award. In May 2020, the Psychology department also submitted an application to which they achieved the Bronze award.

Parenting facilities on campus

City Campus West: parenting room on Floor 1, entrance by the Research Commons - access is by fob only. To gain access you should obtain the fob from Ask4Help staff in Student Central.

Coach Lane Campus West: parenting room is MBE104. The room is accessible via Floor 1 C Block corridor through the lounge and opposite the kitchen space. The key for the room can be gained from the CLC West reception who will issue upon request.
