Graduate Outcomes

A new national survey capturing the activities and perspectives of graduates is launching in December 2018. The responses to this Graduate Outcomes survey will be crucial in allowing current and future students to make informed choices and in helping us to evaluate and promote our courses.

If you graduate between August 2017 and July 2018 you will be among the first group of students who will be contacted from December 2018 to take part. To support the survey, we are required to hold accurate contact details for you, including a personal email address, at least one telephone number, and a postal address.

If your contact details have changed please contact us at nucareers@northumbria.ac.uk to inform us of your new contact details. If you have registered with the Northumbria Alumni Association and have not informed them of your new details you can amend them here

The Graduate Outcomes survey is owned by HESA, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, who have published more information for students as well as guidance on how your contact details will be used.

Destination of Leavers from Higher Education

The Careers and Employment Service will be getting in touch with you if you graduated between 1 January 2017 and 31 July 2017.  The University has to complete the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey and we can’t do this without your help.

As a census we will be looking to find out what you will be doing on 10 January 2018.  All graduates at every UK institution, whether in the UK or travelled overseas, are contacted and asked the same questions.  Each institution is also asked to achieve very high response rates.  This enables the government, employers and future students to get a really accurate picture of the graduate labour market.

Whether you‘re in employment, further study or taking time out to travel or doing something else we would really appreciate your help.  It’s really easy to do and only takes a couple of minutes.  We will email you a direct link to the form so you just need to click and complete!  If we don’t get a response we will need to contact you by telephone.  Therefore it is really important for us to have your current contact details.

If you have any questions or if you’ve changed your email or telephone number, please get in touch with the Careers and Employment Service.
