Graduate Careers Support

As a Northumbria graduate you can continue to get advice and support from the Careers and Employment Service for five years after you graduate.

You can get 1-1 support at the Careers Guidance Drop-in and Careers Information and Job Search Drop-in. Careers professionals will give confidential support and help you decide, plan, compete and achieve your career goals.

Search JobsOnline to access opportunities locally, nationally and internationally. Thousands of jobs are advertised every year across a wide range of sectors. Once you sign up, set your preferences to receive email alerts of your targeted sector vacancies. JobsOnline also includes details of careers events - as a graduate you can still attend any of the employer events that take place across the academic year.

You also have access to online support to navigate today’s job market with confidence through our employability hub, Careers Online. Hear from employers and what they’re looking for, explore your options and develop the key skills to make you stand out in the recruitment process.

To access JobsOnline on NU TARGETconnect:

  • If your Northumbria email is still valid you can use the password reset system. Don’t forget you will need to add a personal email account to your profile if you want to continue to use the system when your Northumbria email account is switched off.
  • If your email account is no longer valid sign up online. Add your student number to the form to help us authorise your account.
