History Alumni Reunite

On Saturday 9 June 2018, the History team at Northumbria University held its alumni reunion - conceived as the first in a series of alumni-focused activities.

The event brought together former students from different graduation years and, as such, provided opportunities to meet new people as well as to re-connect with old friends and acquaintances.History Alumni

Catering breaks as well as a drinks reception provided plenty of space for informal conversations. Moreover the reunion also featured a lively and well-received lecture by Prof. David Gleeson (addressing the legacies and ongoing significance of the American Civil War) as well as a small-group segment in which students spoke to past and present staff members about the experience of studying History and the skills they had gained in doing so.
