Fashion Design & Marketing students were delighted to benefit from an exclusive online Q&A with Fashion Marketing graduate, Michelle Poole.Michelle Poole Michelle is now based in the US and is President of Crocs, a major international shoe brand. She was delighted to connect with current students and share her knowledge and insights with those following in her footsteps at Northumbria. The session was hosted by one of Michelle’s peers in her 1992 cohort, Fiona Raeside, who is now a Senior Lecturer at Northumbria.

Speaking of her visit Michelle commented, “I was delighted to be able to rejoin the Northumbria community today, and share a little of my journey since I graduated. I hope I was able to provide some insights and inspiration for the students as they begin their careers in this exciting industry”.

Speaking of the Q&A session Senior Lecturer, Gayle Cantrell said, "Michelle’s talk was incredibly inspiring for our students. It was fantastic to have an insight into some of the innovative initiatives she has introduced at Crocs. They were inspired by her career journey and the value of building contacts and networks, and the fact that she is a Northumbria alumna was hugely motivating for their own career aspirations. It’s so valuable when our alumni return to contribute to the programmes that launched their careers.”
