Improve the post-graduation experiences of students studying without the support of a family network

Did you complete your studies in 2021?

Did you receive support from the university or from student finance due to being estranged, a care leaver or otherwise studying without the support of a family network?

If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts in our new research project (funded by the VC Inclusivity and Diversity fund) on Supporting Standalone Students.

Participants will be asked to take part in two short surveys about your experiences since completing your course in summer 2021 (one survey in December 2021/January 2022 and another in May/June 2022). There will also be opportunities to take part in optional follow-up interviews via Teams if there’s more you’d like to share.

To find out more and take part in the survey click here. The survey is open until 31 January 2022.

This current pilot study focusses on 2021 leavers; however, if you studied without the support of a family network and graduated before 2021, and have views and experiences you’d like to share, please get in touch using the email address above and we’ll let you know about further opportunities in future.
