Now more than ever, we know that student success relies on the provision of accessible mental health and wellbeing services.

In recent times, our Inclusion Team has reported unprecedented demand for its services as students are forced to adapt to continually changing and challenging circumstances. We want to continue to provide students with the services they need to make the most of their university experience.

With your support we will:

  • Increase the level of specialist support available, including the addition of two NHS Psychological Support Specialists and Mental Health and Wellbeing Therapists;

  • Expand the support available through the Students’ Union by funding more Student Counsellors and Mental Health First Aiders;

  • Increase access and subscriptions to our online Mental Health App. This is a simple tool that helps students track their mental health, access support tools and advice; and

  • Scale-up our wellbeing telecentre to offer a permanent, year-round service, which was introduced in response to the pandemic to provide support, information and resources.

How can you help?

A donation of:

£50 will provide professional counselling to support one student

£120 will provide access for one student to NUTHINKING,to support their mental health and fitness

£500 will enable a cohort of Northumbria students to become Mental Health First Aiders
