Varsity 2026 Fundraising Prize Draw
(100% of all donated proceeds to Northumbria University: Zambia 2026)
Terms and Conditions
- The prize draw is open to anyone aged 18 years or over. By entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prizes you may win. Only one entry per person is permitted.
- All entries must be submitted either online through the Volunteer Zambia Donation Page, or card payment taken at the Varsity Event. A minimum donation of £10.00 will enable entry to the prize draw. To be eligible, entrants must make their donation on Friday 20 March 2026 and provide a contact email address. Entries received after this time will not be counted and entered to the draw.
- If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing by card, Northumbria does not take any responsibility for incomplete purchases, and any incomplete purchases will not be considered valid for entry into the prize draw. Northumbria accepts no responsibility for any purchases which are not completed for any reason.
- Four winners will be randomly selected (by Excel) and notified by email on Monday 23 March 2026 from Northumbria University.
- The
winners will receive, drawn in this order:
- Prize 1: RFU Signed Steve Borthwick Match Top Donated by the RFU Charity Panel, with certificate of authenticity
- Prize 2: £100 Old Novo Store Voucher Donated by Matt Dehaty, Founder of Old Novo, Northumbria graduate and former Sport President
- Prize 3: Five Newcastle Red Bulls v Exeter Chiefs Tickets, 27 March 2026 Donated by Newcastle Red Bulls
- Prize 4: Annual Northumbria University Sport Central Fitness Membership Donated by Northumbria Sport - The prize for each winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
- The decision of Northumbria regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- Northumbria must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Northumbria will send the surname and county of prize winners to anyone who emails us.foi@northumbria.ac.uk within one month after the closing date stated in condition 2.
- If you object to any or all of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact Northumbria at alumni-philanthropy@northumbria.ac.uk. In such circumstances, Northumbria must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. Northumbria reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
- Northumbria reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Insofar as permitted by law, Northumbria, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Northumbria, its agents or distributors or that of their employees.
- Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed as set out in Northumbria’s policy General Data Protection Regulations. - These terms and conditions of this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
- The promoter of this prize draw is University of Northumbria at Newcastle upon Tyne whose principal office is at Sutherland Building, College Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8ST.
