Career Path: Purchasing Coordinator - Corporate Supply Chain, HCA Healthcare UK
Location: London, United Kingdom

My interest in supply chain and procurement sparked during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly when the Evergreen ship was stuck in the Suez Canal, disrupting global trade. I realized then that supply chains are the backbone of all industries, and I wanted to be part of the field that keeps businesses moving. After completing my master’s degree in the UK, I began my career with Direct Traders Ltd, an FMCG company, where I managed supplier relationships, coordinated logistics, and implemented process improvements. This experience laid the foundation for my current role as Purchasing Coordinator – Corporate at HCA Healthcare UK, where I manage procurement for three flagship private hospitals in London, oversee multimillion-pound budgets, and ensure supplier performance and contract compliance. I aspire to continue growing in responsible and strategic procurement, contributing to operational efficiency and innovation across industries.
