The Senior Management Group (SMG) advises the Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to the strategy and management of the University, considers key policy issues affecting the University and provides an informal forum for the exchange of ideas, opinions and good practice.

It meets monthly and its membership includes the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellors, Chief People Officer, Head of Governance, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Executive Deans and Service Directors, President of the Students' Union, Academic Registrar and London Campus Partnership Director.

Cara Morris, Chief of Staff to the Vice-Chancellor, is secretary to the group and is the first point of contact for any enquiries regarding SMG business.
