Professor Alister Scott - Geography and Environmental Sciences

Professor Alister Scott was invited to be the headline speaker at the Liveable Cities and Urban Nature seminar, which took place at in Uppsala, Sweden on September 25.

The seminar was organised by engineering, design and consultancy company Ramboll and SLU Urban Futures - a sustainable urban development research collaboration based at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

Professor Scott spoke about his take on local cases and frontrunners in urban nature from Uppsala and Tierp, following work he has been carrying out with key Swedish agencies and researchers on urban nature and planning.

The seminar provided an opportunity to discuss how to engage in and mobilise urban nature in order to increase wellbeing and quality of life and create liveable cities.
