Beth March

16th May 2021

Final year Fashion Design BA student Beth Serena March has turned her talent in expressing colour, mark making and texture to creating unique paintings alongside her studies here at Northumbria.

Born and raised in Durham in the North East of England, Beth started ‘Cerina Design’ when she was looking for the perfect piece of artwork for her own home. Failing to find it, she created her own. Based on a passion for art and design combined with a love for interiors, Beth creates individual pieces suited to every person, home or workplace.

The canvases are hand-painted at Beth’s studio, making each one unique. Combining her colour knowledge and understanding of balance within a garment collection from studying Fashion Design, Beth creates well considered colour ways for each work of art. ‘Cerina Design’ offers design consultations to find the perfect piece to match your personal style, and the customisation allows for each piece to be totally individual.

After creating a strong presence on social media to promote her painting business alongside her Fashion Design studies here at Northumbria, Beth was contacted by Vogue to be featured in their ‘Inspiring Interiors’ editorial. This feature showcases not only the talent and skill of Beth’s work, but also the entrepreneurial spirit of starting a business during a pandemic, whilst keeping up with the intensive schedule of an undergraduate degree.

For more information and to see Beth’s work, please take a look at the ‘Cerina Design’ website, and make sure to follow Beth on Instagram: @cerinadesign.
