Terms and Conditions - #IAmNorthumbria Community Brief
- In each month the competition is run it is only open to current Northumbria University students aged 18 years or over. It is not open to Northumbria University employees.
- Posts valid for entry into the #IAmNorthumbria Community competition must be posted onto the specified social platform of Instagram between the dates specified in that month’s rules.
- Only social posts including the #IAMNORTHUMBRIA and the current month’s specified theme hashtag will be eligible for entry. You can find the current month’s theme hashtag on the competition page.
- Students can enter the competition as many times as they wish, by posting social media posts on the designated platform Instagram using the correct hashtags for that month. Each post will be classed as one entry.
- Each month we will select the best social posts that conform to these T&Cs and then choose a favourite to win.
- Winners will receive a £100 Amazon voucher
- If an advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal value.
- Winners will be contacted via the platform they used to enter. If you do not respond within 120 hours of being notified, you will forfeit your prize and Northumbria University reserves the right to choose another winner.
- The University’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Prizes won cannot be altered or exchanged for a cash prize.
- The prize for the winner will not be transferable to another person
- The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
- Any visitor who posts a social media post that contains any negative or offensive imagery or wording will automatically be removed from the competition and declared ineligible to participate.
- Northumbria University shall have the final say in determining eligibility to enter and choice of winner. Northumbria University’s decision regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- Posting your entry to the specified social media platform is not proof that we have seen your entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are missed, or which are not seen for any reason when Northumbria University staff are monitoring the social media hashtags to be used each month in the competition.
- The closing time for competition will be specified on the competition page each month along with the rules and hashtags, and Northumbria University reserves the right to amend the competition end date at any time.
- By entering the competition and using #IAMNORTHUMBRIA and the current month’s theme hashtag you are giving Northumbria University permission to use your post, including video and image content, and social media username, in any marketing material, social media platform and on our website.
- You can find out who has won a particular competition by checking the Northumbria University Instagram page where winners will be showcased after they have been notified and confirmed.
- Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.
- This competition is run by Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8ST
- Please read our Privacy Policy which tells you how we use and process any personal information we may collect about you by entering this competition.
- Northumbria University reserves the right to amend these T’s & C’s at any time. Northumbria University may also create rules which will apply to a specific competition only. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on this T&Cs information page.
- If the competition is run on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, or other social media platforms, then it is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with these social media platforms. By participating you hereby release and hold harmless these social media platforms from any and all liability associated with this competition.
- Northumbria University will endeavour to send prizes within a month of the closing date of the competition but cannot guarantee this delivery time.
- Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed these T’s and C’s upon entry.
- Northumbria University reserves the right to refuse entry to the competition, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these T’s and C’s
- The competition is governed by English law.
