If you do not have a valid permit or pay and display ticket where applicable, to park on University premises clearly displayed in your vehicle, you will be issued with a Car Parking Charge Notice.

The issuing and administration of car parking charge notices is handled by APCOA Parking UK Limited, not the University.

If the discounted payment is not received within 14 days from the date of the car parking charge notice, then the full amount as specified will apply.

Appeals Procedure

Representations regarding the issue of Car Parking Charge Notices will only be accepted in writing within 28 days of issue. Appeals should include your name, address, vehicle registration mark (VRM) and the parking charge notice (PCN) number to be accepted.

Hunt and Park Permits are only available for City Campus and are currently valid in the following car parks:

  • Lipman Car Park
  • Camden Street Car Park
  • CCE Main Car Park
  • CCE Business & Law Car Park
  • Old Sport Centre Car Park

Please note: Applications for student city campus parking permits will open in August 2018.  The Scheme will be 100% Hunt & Park - there will be no private bays at City Campus.  Parking will be on a first come first served basis, 6 permits will be allocated for every 5 parking bays.  Permits will be allocated to applicants based on the distance from their term time address to City Campus.  The cost of a full time parking permit will be £780.  Full time permits will be valid Monday to Sunday.  Part-time permits will be available for 1, 2, 3 or 4 fixed days per week part-weeks (on a pro-rata basis).  Blue Badge permits will be free of charge.  Permits will be valid from 1 October 2018 to 30 September 2019. 

City Campus: Weekend Pay and Display parking is available at City Campus East car park.

Coach Lane Campus: Pay and display parking is available on the east side of the campus.  From 1 June 2018, all staff and students purchasing a pay and display ticket will be required to display a Pay and Display Permit in their vehicle.  A free of charge Pay and Display Permit can be collected from Reception, Coach Lane Campus West or the library at Coach Lane East.  You will be required to show your student ID card upon collection.

Permits will be allocated on the basis of distance travelled to the University. Blue Badge permits will be free of charge. Permits will be valid from 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2024.

Pay and display parking is available on the east side of the campus. From 1 September 2022, all staff and students purchasing a pay and display ticket will be required to display a Pay and Display Permit in their vehicle.

Blue Badge holders will be able to park free of charge; please make an application and you will be contacted with confirmation of your blue badge permit.
