Vice-Chancellors Welcome

Northumbria has made significant strides in recent years, setting out a clear vision for its future as a research rich, business-focused, professional university.

UE - Professor Andrew Wathey

Our 2013-18 Strategy set a pace and scope of transformational change appropriate to challenges faced in the higher education sector, leveraging our strengths and advantages.  With strong student satisfaction and high performing collaborations we are now ranked 48th in the Guardian League Table 2018, are in the Top 200 Under 50 Global University rankings and have recently been nominated for the Times Higher Education University of the Year 2017.

We are operating from a strong financial platform and we will invest in people, technology and our world class campus so we can provide leading-edge research and teaching, remain sustainable and continue to deliver an outstanding experience for our students, staff and partners.  This is a really exciting time to join us and help shape our strategy for 2018-2023.

We offer opportunities to enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who want to transform lives, and make a powerful cultural and economic impact to communities and beyond.  Located in one of the best University cities, in a vibrant and friendly campus, with outstanding facilities, Northumbria is a remarkable place to work.  Our talented people are core to our success and as Finance Director you will drive performance, financial sustainability and transformational change.

If you share our passion, and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we look forward to hearing from you.

Professor Andrew Wathey CBE
