Funding available:
There are three grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria:
Living cost grant: £805 for 35 days (£644 for 4 weeks)
Travel grant: up to £905
Additional costs: up to £40 this supports payment towards buying/renewing a passport, travel insurance and vaccinations
For students who do not meet any criteria there is a grant of £665 available for a 5 week programme (£532 for 4 weeks).
Students who are not eligible for funding can still participate in the programme and be covered by the university's insurance.
Programme fee:
The programme cost is £4,950 for 5 weeks in Kansai and £5,250 for 5 weeks in Tokyo. These listed prices include a £300 discount offered to Northumbria students. Full information here.
