Volunteer HQ Mexico

Students and recent graduates from all degree programmes are eligible to participate in the following volunteer projects in Mexico: 

  • Deer conservation
  • Horse care and village support
  • Sea turtle and reptile conservation
  • Teaching English

 

Application deadline:

Rolling deadline depending on intended start date

 

Programme dates: 

Flexible start dates up until August 2026. Please note that this programme will not run between late April and 8th June. Programmes must be completed by August 31st

 

Funding available: 

For 4 week programmes, there are three grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria:

Living cost grant: £588

Travel grant: up to £905

Additional costs: up to £40 this supports payment towards buying/renewing a passport, travel insurance and vaccinations 

For those who do not meet any of the criteria there is a grant of £476 available.

 

For 2 week programmes, there are three grants available for students who meet any of the widening participation criteria:

Living cost grant: £294

Travel grant: up to £905

Additional costs: up to £40 this supports payment towards buying/renewing a passport, travel insurance and vaccinations 

For those who do not meet any of the criteria there is a grant of £238 available.

 

Students who are not accepted for funding can still participate in the programme and be covered by the university's insurance

 

 

 

Programme cost: 

The programme fee is from £1,075 for a 2 week programme and from £2,123 for a 4 week programme. Both have an additional registration fee of $329.
