Enrolment

International students must complete a two step enrolment process. If you have a student visa, you must ensure that you complete your enrolment before your enrolment deadline, stated on your CAS. Please do try to enrol as near to your course start date where possible.

You will be sent details via email when you are able to pre-enrol on your course. This will give you all the information that you need to enrol. Please do not try to enrol before you have received the notification that you can pre-enrol

You must log onto your Student Portal and click on the ‘enrol’ button.

Step 1: Pre-registration.You must complete pre-registration and this can be completed from your home country. Please follow the steps on the ‘enrol’ button and provide all of the information requested.

Step 2: Visa verification.

You must upload visa documents as soon as you arrive in the UK. If you are beginning your studies online, you should provide your immigration permission as soon as you arrive in the UK.

You will need to scan and upload the following:

  • Transit/Visa vignette (travel visa inside your passport) with UK entry stamp on it from border control. If you arrive via an e-gate, please retain and upload your boarding pass as evidence of your UK arrival date.
  • Evidence of your immigration permission to study in the UK, such as; front and back of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card or your UKVI decision letter stating your BRP card collection address or evidence of your in-time visa submission
  • Your passport photo ID page.

You must show you have status in the UK which allows you to study your chosen course. Please note: If you are enrolling as an exams only student with no attendance, you will be asked to provide evidence that you are outside of the UK before you can be enrolled.

Once you have completed step 1 and step 2, you will receive a confirmation of enrolment and a visa verification email. Once your visa verification is complete, you will receive information on how and where to collect your University student smartcard. Please refer to our BRP webpage for further information on how and where to collect your BRP from.
