Where are you from?

Brunei

What is it like living and studying so far away from home?

Interestingly and surprisingly, I still can’t believe that I haven’t felt homesick since I have arrived here. This is due to the people in Newcastle, UK and international students and the local community have all helped me a lot in making Newcastle my second home. There’s a lot to do here, I enjoy shopping, visiting interesting places around Newcastle, especially the coast, the castle, the public parks and I look forward to watching Newcastle United play at St James’ Park.

How do you get on with your tutors?

All of our tutors have been very supportive throughout the course. Studying in a different language is really hard for me and the other international students, but the tutors have been remarkably amazing that they are trying hard to make sure that all of us understand everything.

What do you like most about the course?

Besides the clinical placement, there are extensive sources of information available in the university library. The library is highly equipped with the technology to help students get the best out of the information available. Also, the timetable is very helpful for most students, almost everyday I have leisure time I can do everything I need to and still have plenty of time for my study.
