Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Was close to home and provided a combination of the courses I wanted to study.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is a great city, great for shopping, socialising and provides lots of opportunities for volunteering.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

What suprised me the most was the kindness of people who live within the area, everyone I have met has been kind and willing to help.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Northumbria is a great university, staff and previous students are always willing to help and offer advice when your stuck. I found it easy to make friends and I am still continuing I meet new people every day.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I have enjoyed the placements offered on my course as I was able to gain a greater understanding of my lecture and what we learned within them.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Since coming to Northumbria, lectures on my Early Years course have been the most helpful, offering advice on assignments and work ethic.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

I would have I say my lecture Linda Graham, she offered support to me in first year when I was struggling and that really helped boost my confidence in myself and my work.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Students' Union Bar, Habita.

What is the best thing about your course?

The best thing about my course is the placements offered, putting what we learn into practice.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I would like to do my PGCE in the future, however, I need to further develop my confidence and build up my experience to ensure I have the best set of skills.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

My most memorable experience on placement was when I was able to take a group of children and create my own activity. This offered me an insight of what is expected of me if I was to do this on a daily basis

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Come for an Open Day and try and experience all of what Northumbria offers, such as looking round the gym, Students' union, Student Support and the surrounding area.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I feel my confidence has grown, through building new friendships, going out more and participating in seminars and lectures.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Fun, hilarious, challenging
