Cricketqube

Alosh graduated from Northumbria University in 2019 with an MSc in International Sport Management.

"My time at Northumbria laid the foundation for what would become Cricketqube, a social enterprise that delivers accessible and inclusive cricket sessions across the North East. We primarily focus on children, older adults and ethnic minorities.

Cricketqube now runs 17 sessions every week across the North East, with over 1,000 people participating each year. We've seen real impact in the communities we serve, including a 61% reduction in GP visits among regular participants.

The Student and Graduate Enterprise Team at Northumbria has played a vital role in our journey. In 2019, I received early-stage business support through the University's Enterprise Programme. The University also sponsored my visa, which helped in establishing the business. I also attended masterclasses and was introduced to mentors and fellow founders who continue to be part of my network. The team's advice and encouragement helped shape Cricketqube’s direction and gave me the confidence to work on it full-time. I’m incredibly grateful for the ongoing support with office space, access to mentors and other founders".
