Northumbria University recently welcomed eight High School Counsellors from across the USA to the City Campus to experience all that Northumbria and the city has to offer prospective students.

Counsellors in the USA work to support High School students through the decision making and application process relating to where to go to university. The counsellors met with a variety of staff across the university, some of our current US students and experienced first-hand some of the facilities available to students at Northumbria.

To enhance Northumbria’s student recruitment activity in the US, Northumbria has entered into a consortium with The University of Manchester, Keele University, De Montfort University and The University of Birmingham, collectively known as “Explore England”. All universities involved recognise the benefits of working together to organise student recruitment activity,  share resources, increase awareness of UK Higher Education overseas and collectively demonstrate the range of student experiences available at institutions in England.
