Northumbria champions entrepreneurship with the opening of a new Incubator

Northumbria offers a learning experience that encourages enterprise and innovation, and has students with the focus, talent and calibre to turn this into commercial success. So much so that Northumbria consistently tops the league tables for graduate start-ups - an achievement we are enormously proud of.

Opening in March 2020, the Incubator is a purpose-built facility and provides high-quality office space with state-of-the-art technology and connectivity for student and graduate entrepreneurs. It also offers a place where they can access a range of financial, legal, marketing and strategic support to help them establish and build their fledgling business ventures.

As part of the Advancement Office's support, we established the Enterprise Club. A community of regional and national businesses, many of whom are alumni, have joined the Club with the initial workshops scheduled to take place this Spring and Summer. Our supporters create a network of pro-bono expertise and advice to share with our student and graduate entrepreneurs. The first set of workshops titled the 'Incubator Expert Series' will be delivered by 11 businesses, over 80% are our alumni!
