RegisterHow Do We Create Homes Fit For The Future: webinar with industry experts

Wednesday 9 March 2022, 10.30am – 12 noon.

Homes are vital to our health and our economy. But our homes need to meet a growing list of changing demands – from reduced energy usage and withstanding the impact of climate change, to accommodating increased working from home and an ageing society.

Join Northumbria University and partners Constructing Excellence North East, Womble Bond Dickinson and MOBIE for an interactive, online event exploring some of the challenges and topics key to creating affordable, efficient, accessible, and healthy homes that will last long into the future.

Speakers and panellists include:

  • Ann Bentley, Global Board Director at RLB, the UK’s Government Construction Leadership Council and the CBI’s Construction Council
  • Scott Bibby, Managing Director, CoreHaus
  • Oliver Jones, Research Director, Ryder Architecture
  • Tracy Harrison, Chief Executive, Northern Housing Consortium
  • Paul Jones, Professor of Architecture at Northumbria University

At this event, we’ll examine the role of modern methods of construction and retrofitting in providing sustainable and high-quality solutions to future housing needs. We’ll also explore innovations that are enabling people to age well at home, as well as the importance of designing new socially sustainable communities.
