We’re proud to be playing a big part in the Great Exhibition
of the North, a three-month celebration of the North of England’s pioneering
spirit and the impact of our inventors, artists and designers.
England’s biggest event in 2018, it will be pack a programme
of amazing exhibits, live performances, and displays of innovation, new
artworks and unforgettable experiences including some special events happening
right here on our campus.
From 22 June to 9 September, the North of England will be
alive with Great North activity, which is made up of a central programme which
follows three trails of discovery across the city.
By following the three trails across Newcastle and Gateshead
you’ll discovery our cultural highlights along the themes of Art, Design and
Innovation. The official design trail flows directly through Northumbria’s City
Campus with a plethora of inspiring exhibitions, displays and events exploring
a range of themes from healthy eating and nutrition to the lives of volunteers
in confluences and emergencies.
GEOTN also includes a number of ‘Inspired by’ events, a
massive programme of fringe-festival like events and exhibitions including 15
hosted by Northumbria.
