Dr Jane Davies

 Jane Davies, Senior Lecturer Primary Education; Primary Lead Teach FirstPrior to joining Northumbria University, I worked as a primary school teacher both in the UK and overseas. Following the completion of my Masters at the Institute of Education, UCL, London, I then worked there as research fellow before moving to the northeast in 2000. I worked at Sunderland University where I led the BA Primary Education programme, and completed my PhD. I moved to Northumbria in 2015 where I now lead the primary Teach First cohort and the Educational Research and Enquiry strand of the BA (Hons) Primary Education programme including the undergraduate dissertation module. I also supervise post-graduate research students at Masters and PhD level.
