Vivien Perry

Senior Lecturer

Department: Nursing, Midwifery & Health

I joined Northumbria University in 2015, having worked in Higher Education since 2010 at the University of Bedfordshire. I have worked as a Registered General Nurse since 1995, specialising in Cardiothoracic intensive Care. I then became a midwife, working in hospital and community settings. I am passionate about supporting students to become the best midwives they can be.

I am also currently undertaking a PhD, exploring student midwives’ experiences of demonstrating Good Character whilst off-duty.
