When did you study at Northumbria University?
I studied at
Northumbria University during the academic year 2017/2018.
What subject did you study at Northumbria?
I
undertook mainly food-related modules, such as New Food Product Development (my
favourite module of my whole degree), Diet and the Brain, Research Methods on
Food and Nutrition, Nutrition through the Lifecycle, Applied Nutrition and
Bioethics. I was fascinated by the content of all of them and the teaching
methods.
Why did you decide to do Study Abroad?
I
wanted to become more independent, live in an international city and improve
my English.
Why did you decide to come to Northumbria
University?
What
mainly propelled me to apply for Northumbria University is that is a well-known
and recognised University that congregates lots of international students.
Besides, I spoke to a friend that studied one year abroad there before and it
fascinated me the effort made by the University to integrate international and non-international students
by organising multiple activities, such as trips to near towns, meetings,
parties, etc.
What is your favourite memory of being at
Northumbria?
I
still miss living there and being able to walk everywhere and combining an
amazing social life with my studies.
Did you find living in Newcastle expensive?
What
I found the most expensive was accommodation. However, I found basics like food
or transport very reasonable.
How will you use your experience of Studying
Abroad at Northumbria in the future?
Studying
at Northumbria changed my mind completely. I found the path I want to follow in
my professional future and decided to give it an international approach. I also
became more independent at work and active in searching for new opportunities
that would enrich my knowledge, such as conferences, summer schools, etc.
What advice would you give to a student who is
thinking of coming to Northumbria to Study Abroad?
Studying
at Northumbria changed my mind completely. I found the path I want to follow
in my professional future and decided to give it an international approach. I
also became more independent at work and active in searching for new
opportunities that would enrich my knowledge, such as conferences, summer
schools, etc.
My
advice is ‘’apply now and be ready to pack!” Studying abroad at Northumbria
University is a life-changing unforgettable experience.
