The Six Year Medical Pathway (6MDP) is suitable for students who have completed their High School education with a strong performance on science subjects.
On this programme you will join the Northumbria University Applied Science Foundation Year. This is an established programme which prepares students for Year 1 entry to a number of Northumbria University Bachelors degree programmes. After successfully completing your Foundation Year and meeting the necessary progression requirements, you will join the Five Year Medical Pathway (5MDP). Students who wish to progress to 5MDP must take the Introduction to Biomedical Sciences module during their Foundation Year studies.
