Northumbria’s in-person International Training Week is back! This year we would like to invite you to discuss how recent worldwide events have impacted on the professional employability skills needed for the workplace. We will offer sessions on the future of global jobs and industries and how higher education institutions, and particularly Careers professionals, can support learners via a series of interventions. Workshops will also cover the concept of “The Global Graduates” and how degree-plus opportunities can support them, including international mobility opportunities and how to embed them in the curriculum. Other themes to be included are: Widening Participation and the Turing Scheme; relationships with employers; and risk management for International Mobility.
Participants will explore ways to adapt to an ever-changing landscape of employability from an internationalisation perspective and participants will acquire tools to implement at their own institutions.
The ITW will include a Study Abroad fair, where you will be able to promote your institution to our students. The event will also have a separate online version for colleagues who are not able to attend in person. Details on how to register for the virtual fair will be released after the deadline for the ITW has passed, on Monday 18 October.
