This masterclass is aimed at practitioners who care for patients with Dementia in an acute hospital setting. The module will look at some of the frequent challenges presented by caring for people with dementia and their families in this environment.

There will be time to reflect on current practice and critically analyse current care delivery with a view to developing practice. Communication strategies and interventions for reducing behaviour that challenges will be discussed.

The masterclass will also cover Delirium in people with dementia considering best practice in terms of management and recovery and will look at specific issues that can arise.
