Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

It is close to home and has good reviews.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I like Newcastle, my favourite thing to do is using the gym at Sport Central.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, very much so! I am very happy here.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Making new friends and enjoying the atmosphere here.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

The lectures and student support.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

The lecturers.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Students' Union bar.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

The Gym in Sport Central.

What is the best thing about your course?

It is professional, supportive and mentally and academically engaging.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

I have learnt valuable skills like using my time effectively, self learning, giving presentations and confidence building.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to be a nurse and work in eldery rehabilitation. this course has given me the skills and knowledge and opportunities to discover what route I want to follow.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

Yes, I have worked 50% of my course on placements and they have been exciting and educational.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Come to this university, it is friendly, supportive and relaxed.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have become more confident, I have got better time keeping skills and I am more organised.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

feel at home

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

100% yes. I love this university and although I am looking forward to my working career, I know I will look back on this time and miss it.
