Why did you choose Northumbria University?

I heard a friend mention it at school and after researching it, I liked the look of the place and course.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

The locals and students are friendly, love how Newcastle is a brilliant Student city. I enjoy watching the football team play at St. James' Park and going to the beach at Tynemouth.

What has impressed you most about living in Newcastle and this region? 

The nightlife is fantastic and how approachable everyone is.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? 

Everyone was very nervous at the beginning so we were all in the same boat. This made it easier to make friends quickly.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The facilities and proximity to the city centre is fantastic, as well as my course.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My course mates and course leader.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Students' Union.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects?

Joined the gym, fantastic facilities.

What is the best thing about your course?

The different topics covered as well as the lecturers passion for what they are teaching.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Learning to get on with independent research and dealing with how to spend my student loan.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Communication skills, presentation skills, independent study.

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips?

We had an initial field trip to Edinburgh which was brilliant as is helped everyone get to know each other on the course as well as seeing and working in a fantastic city.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University?

More confident, outgoing and independent.

If you had three words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Worthy, supportive and discovery.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Certainly!
