Fashion

Fashion_Placement_Deborah-HarkinsWhere did you go on placement?

My placement was with Bolongaro Trevor in London and Visage in South Shields.

What kind of work were you involved in during your placement?

At Bolongaro Trevor I was involved in menswear design, drawing up flat specs of clothes and shoes, assisting in designing the graphic tees and drawing them up and putting together rails of clothes for sample sales. At Visage I organised their stock and design files that would be taken to meetings with clients, and I assisted the menswear graphic designer.

What were the most valuable lessons learnt during your placement?

Most valuable lessons learnt were that working in a team to produce a collection is vital and working to strict deadlines to make sure that it will be produced in time.
