SME Information Hub

Northumbria University is proud of the relationships we have developed with local and national employers within the small to medium enterprises community (SMEs). We recognise that SMEs offer a unique experience to Northumbria students and graduates and can provide an opportunity to work with all levels of the organisation, gaining exposure to a wide range of business functions.

Our employer facing team have developed an information hub tailored to the SME experience. This resource offers advice and guidance from an SME viewpoint, including composing job descriptions for those new to the recruitment market, to shaping the interview process to help achieve that successful hire.

The guidance below has been provided to help make the university engagement and hiring process as smooth as possible for SMEs, including highlighting the academic timeline to assist in the planning process.
