Accounting, Finance and Economics: Do the numbers add up?

The Newcastle Business School at Northumbria University Discovery Day will be taking place on:

Tuesday 16th July 10.00 – 15.00 

This is a great opportunity for students to enhance their current learning and discover more about studying at University. 

 

This event is for students in Year 12 (or equivalent) who would like to know more about studying at university, and get a taste for university style learning with interactive and stimulating workshops for students who would like to know more about Accounting, Finance, Economics and Business.

 

•             A welcome talk and introduction to studying at university

•             Interactive subject taster sessions

•             An insight from student ambassadors who will give their insight into studying at university

•             Lunch

•             Talks with current students and graduates

 

Students will experience an insight into studying Accounting, Finance and Economics through interactive taster sessions with Northumbria academics and current undergraduate students.

 

The discovery day is free to attend but booking is essential. A maximum of 20 places are available per institution and will be allocated on a first come first served basis in the first instance.

 

By bringing students from your school or college on to campus we can offer them a range of academic sessions, as well as the more general progression to HE sessions. Your students could have the opportunity to explore a subject area they are interested in, or try something new.

Time:                   10:00 – 15:00

Venue:                 Northumbria University Business School (City Campus East: NE2 1SU). Further information will be sent to attendees.

Who is it for:        Year 12 / College Equivalent Students interested in courses related to accounting and finance. Staff members are encouraged to attend.
