Graduate Futures assessment centre events

Don’t leave your success to chance! Join our mock assessment centre and unlock your true potential. Prepare, practice and prosper in upcoming assessment centres, confident in your abilities and ready to seize every opportunity that comes your way…

An assessment centre (or assessment day) is a combination of tasks and activities, often in group settings, that test your suitability for a role. They allow employers to assess a range of skills across many candidates and are a great way for you to demonstrate a wider range of skills than you would at a traditional face-to-face interview.  They can feel scary though so why not come along and practice in a safe setting?

Graduate Futures' mock assessment centre workshops will help you develop:

  • Confidence building - we simulate real-life job interviews, group exercises and other evaluation techniques used by employers.By gaining practical experience in a comfortable space, you will feel more self-assured and less anxious at the real thing!
  • Skills - we will cover skills such as communication, problem-solving, time management, presentation and networking and allow you to identify your personal strengths and weaknesses.
  • Personalised feedback - from experienced professionals.Insights into your personal performance allow you to understand where you excel and what needs to be improved, saving valuable preparation time.
  • Networking opportunities - with professional staff develops confidence and skills too!By simulating the real thing, you will be more confident about networking on the day.
  • Enhanced time management - an essential assessment centre skill so make sure you are up to speed!

So why not come along?! You will practice three group assessment tasks, receive personalised feedback, as well as hints and tips on what to expect and how to perform well on the day. These workshops are open to recent Northumbria graduates (up to five years from graduation) with the next session being held on Tuesday 7 November 2023, 4pm - 7pm.
