Your Graduate Futures Event Series 1 - 25 June 2021

A month of events for all final year students and recent graduates

Our Your Graduate Futures events are taking place throughout June and are open to recent Northumbria graduates. The events focus on the support that will equip you with the skills, knowledge and connections that will get your graduate future off to the best possible start. And in 2021, our event is even better, with more digital content, talks and activities than ever before! Running all of June, you can access the activities that would best help you. If you want to know more about the support we offer graduates, find out about our Graduate Careers Club offer.

What's on during Your Graduate Future

  • Recruitment skills: You will learn how to develop an excellent CV and Covering Letter, make excellent job applications, network like a professional and ace psychometric assessments. You’ll receive support via a series of digital pre-recorded webinars, which you can work through in your own time, plus several live, interactive (employer-led) webinars.
  • Graduate Skills: Professionally led sessions enabling you to develop key graduate employability capabilities such as leadership, presentation, entrepreneurial and personal branding skills. The aim is to compensate for the lack of opportunity over the last 19 months and give you the confidence and evidence to present yourself favourably to employers (or develop entrepreneurial ideas).
  •  Mindset Club: The challenging graduate job market requires resilience and a positive mindset. Chris Cook (Team GB Olympian and Motivational Speaker) will share valuable strategies that you can then implement in your successful career journey.
  • Spotlight On...: Short webinars highlighting key topics including postgraduate study, international mobility, self-employment and internship opportunities.
  • Employer Activity: Hear from employers at a range of sector panels and attend one or both Graduate Employment in the NE sessions which will highlight current vacancies and promote NEBS funded internship opportunities.
  • Graduate Careers Club: Engage with our Graduate Careers Club and be kept informed of support available for up to five years following graduation. For more information on this, visit this page.
