Our AlumniConference and events can be offered in both City and Coach Lane campuses and provides a wide range of food and drink facilities and services to suit all tastes and budgets.
Our food and drink is environmentally sustainable; the coffee on offer
is certified by Fairtrade as part of the Starbucks ‘proud to serve’ brand and
our tasty tea is provided by Clipper. We also serve MCS
certified fish from
sustainable sources, helping to keep our oceans alive. Offering the option
to use crockery and environmentally friendly water “vivreau”
Our Conferencing and Events staff will help you to decide the best options for your event and liaise with our on-campus Catering team, advising on cost or bespoke menus for large events. We also offer a range of day delegate rates and packages as well as individual items to build a menu for your needs.
On food waste, we were the first University in the UK to introduce Too Good To Go, an app that allows users to purchase meals that would have otherwise gone to waste at a reduced price. We also take part in the OLIO scheme which connects our catering outlets with the local community to share and donate leftover food.
Our Sustainable Food Policy commits to a wide range of measures to maximise the positive impact of our production and retail of food on campus. This includes sourcing local and seasonal produce, provenance of items such as eggs and fish, and the use of ethically marked products such as Fairtrade.
