Maximising Impact from Economic/Commercial Activity

Speakers:
Sam King (RBS – Northumbria University)
TBA

Understanding the research impact assessment process is essential in structuring the collection of data and case study material alongside all enterprise and industry collaborations.  If the right measures are put in place at the outset of a project, then the outcomes of publications and income will be enhanced by the collection of quality impact metrics and case study information.

This session will look at the types of impact that was assessed for the REF 2014 and the anticipation of the type of impact assessment that will be undertaken in a future REF.  It will identify good practice in the collection of data and discuss how on-going monitoring can help with reporting and the creation of compelling case studies.
