North East Solicitor Apprenticeship Event

Date: Wednesday 28th January 2026

Location: Business and Law Building, City Campus East, Northumbria University

Time: 4:30pm - 7:30pm

The North East Solicitor Apprenticeship (NESA) Programme was created and began in 2017, providing an opportunity for those seeking to qualify as a solicitor to kickstart a legal career with a law firm or organisation’s inhouse legal team whilst studying a Higher Apprenticeship (which leads to a Level 7 qualification) at Northumbria University. Solicitor Apprentices, selected through an assessment and interview process, undertake a six-year fully paid training scheme combining relevant and legal focused training and education enabling them to qualify.

At the NESA Information Event, we will provide information about the Programme, the apprenticeship opportunities provided by the participant law firms and organisations and the selection process. Current Apprentices will also provide an insight into their experience of the NESA Programme.
