Commercialising SHAPE Innovations for Impact:

The IP Commercialisation team (of Research and Innovation Services) is excited to announce a researchers networking event for sharing new updates on ‘Ambitions for Research and Knowledge Exchange in SHAPE’ (a perspective from the 'Faculty of Society and Culture') and ‘Initiatives taken at Northumbria University for maximising Impact Value out of IP Portfolio in SHAPE’ (a perspective from the 'Research and Innovation Services').

Note: SHAPE refers to 'Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy (https://www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk/this-is-shape/)'.

The event will provide an opportunity to network among ‘academics, researchers, PGRs and technicians’ from the SHAPE areas (e.g. Arts, Designs, Humanities, Business, Law) while listening to the ‘journey experience and case examples’ of few SHAPE innovators who had been involved in IP Commercialisation project activities by adopting either ‘monetised route’ and ‘non-monetised route’.

Academics/researchers from STEM background are also welcome to this event, as many of the ‘SHAPE originated research-commercialisation ideas’ have achieved successful commercial adoption/exploitation pathways through the application of IT-enabled services and software/app tools.
