Network to success

15th October 2014

Northumbria University’s Business and Law Schools have launched an exclusive alumni networking platform to share latest news and help promote career and mentoring opportunities for graduates.

The platform allows users to keep up to date with university, industry and fellow alumni news. As a Northumbria-hosted service it also offers a trusted environment aimed at encouraging graduates to engage with each other, and the University.

The system integrates fully with personal and professional social networks, such as LinkedIn and Facebook profiles, making it easy to access, register and update information. Integration with overseas social networks, including in China, Germany and Russia, also supports the University’s internationally-based alumni.

Kevin Kerrigan, Executive Dean for Northumbria’s Business and Law Schools, said: “In an age of social networking, having an exclusive service like this for our alumni can be a powerful and potentially life-changing source of support. Whether you have already built a successful career and want to mentor, open the doors of your organisation to our students or you are just starting out and looking for some guidance, I would encourage you to sign up and tap into this valuable resource.

“As well as keeping in touch with news and industry developments as they happen, the contacts, discussion forums and mentoring opportunities available could help kick-start careers or make that defining next move.”

To register please visit: www.nbsnetworker.com for Newcastle Business School, or www.nlsnetworker.com for Northumbria Law School, and sign in with your LinkedIn or Facebook account.

Anyone wishing to find out more about Northumbria’s business courses can sign up for its open day on October 25 by visiting www.northumbria.ac.uk/openday
