Julie Lowe

Principal Lecturer/Teaching Fellow

Department: Social Work, Education and Community Wellbeing

I have worked at the university since 2002 progressing from senior to principal lecturer  in 2008, I am currently the professional lead for occupational therapy teaching  across the occupaitonal therapy programmes. I have particular interest in student well being , curricula design and quality assurance . 

I have external examiner experience . this is an aspect of my role that enjoy along with external panel member roles for programme development and approval . I also have links with the PRSBs and hold a visitor role with the Health and Care professions Council and an accreditior role with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists  

Clinical Background : older people, complex physical dsability, community rehabilitation  , intermediate care andpalliative  care working across rehab and acute care in the NHS and in local authority settings.
