Student Casework

The Student Casework team is here to help to ensure that students are treated fairly, feel supported and receive the best education and experience possible in their time here at Northumbria University.

While all staff work to support students to reach their potential and achieve their goals, on the rare occasion the student feels this hasn't been the case we work with the independent Student Appeals and Complaints Office to make recommendations and provide a resolution. Details of the complaints procedure and regulations can be found in your Handbook of Student Regulations.

Similarly, while the vast majority of students are willing and able to do their best and get the most out of the university experience, occasionally this is not the case. Where appropriate these cases may involve academic staff, the Student Life and Wellbeing team or even campus security but the principle remains the same – to ensure that university life remains a safe and fair environment for all students.
