These are the modules available to incoming Exchange and Study Abroad programmes for the Academic Year 2025/26.
Please note that these modules are constantly updated and should be used for guide purposes only. No modules can ever be guaranteed and students wishing to study at Northumbria University on exchange will need to be flexible in their choices.

Arts Department
- Fine Arts applications will be considered individually and further information on the content of study will be provided after a successful offer is made.
- Unfortunately
it is not possible to consider exchange applications for the BA Animation
programme.
- Unfortunately it is not possible to consider exchange applications for Theatre & Performance Arts applications.
Design Department (UPDATED FOR 2025/26)
All students applying to join a Design Programme will be asked to provide a portfolio of previous work as part of the application process and, if accepted, will be timetabled to set modules near to their start date.

- Modules within the Architecture Department are available to take on the preferred Year-Long Exchange however there is also an option of semester only study subject to module availability and applicant suitability.
- All Architecture Exchange applications must include a suitable portfolio with recent images of work to be considered for admission.
- All Architecture modules will automatically be added to a student's record.

Nursing, Midwifery & Health Department
Nursing, Midwifery & Health modules are only available to students from specific Traineeship European partners where we have an existing ‘Nursing, Midwifery & Health’ partner agreement. The modules are not available to general Exchange or Study Abroad students.
Psychology Department
Social Work, Education & Community Wellbeing Department
Social Work, Education & Community Wellbeing exchange opportunities are only available to students from partners where we have an existing ‘Social Work, Education & Community Wellbeing’ partner agreement.
- Social Work exchange study is only available for Semester One (September to January students) and a bespoke timetable will be created for accepted students near to their start date.
- Education exchange study is only available for year-long study and a bespoke timetable will be created for accepted students near to their start date.
